ICO launches Al-Adha Campaign with targets exceeding 15 million dirhams

The International Charitable Organization (ICO) has launched the Al-Adha Campaign 2022. It includes a myriad of various charitable initiatives and projects, with total targets exceeding 15 million dirhams, inside and outside the UAE.

 

The ICO announced that the sacrifice is valued 620 dirhams inside the state, and 500 dirhams outside the state. Slaughtering the sacrifice outside and distributing its meat inside costs 350 dirhams, while the local Arab sheep is worth 1500 dirhams. The ICO also announced the sharing in the sacrifice of cows outside the state, as one family's share is valued 350 dirhams, according to our Sharia law that it is permissible for seven people to share in one sacrifice of a cow.

 

H.E. Dr. Khaled Abdul-Wahab Al Khaja, ICO's Secretary-General stressed that the Al-Adha Campaign is one of the most important seasonal campaigns, given its religious status, and the humanitarian benefits it holds for the poor and needy, calling on benefactors to support its humanitarian initiatives and projects, and to invest these blessed days in doing good deeds and giving alms.

 

The campaign includes important projects; sacrificing, Eid clothing, feeding on the Day of Arafat, feeding a Muslim village, relieving the anguish of debtors, along with projects to build mosques and Holy Quran memorization centers, digging wells, sponsoring orphans, distributing copies of the Qur’an, among others.
