International Charity Organization Delivers Humanitarian Projects Worth 353 Million AED During the First Half of 2026

The International Charity Organization (ICO) announced that the total value of its humanitarian and charitable projects during the first half of 2026 exceeded 353 million AED, benefiting communities both within the UAE and internationally. This represents a 15% increase compared to the same period in 2025.

The Organization's projects covered a broad range of humanitarian sectors, including healthcare, education, water, food assistance, emergency relief, and charitable development projects such as the construction of mosques, Quran memorization centres, residential villages, and other community initiatives.

Charitable investments totalled 14 million AED, while in-kind donations exceeded 27 million AED. Healthcare projects amounted to 38 million AED, and charitable complex developments reached 63 million AED.

Education projects totalled 71 million AED, while projects supporting orphans and vulnerable families reached 64 million AED. Seasonal campaigns and food assistance programmes amounted to 30 million AED, mosque construction projects totalled 24 million AED, and water projects reached 22 million AED.

Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, said:

Their unwavering support reinforces the values of generosity and solidarity and strengthens humanitarian work in a way that reflects the UAE's enduring commitment to extending assistance to those in need across the world.

We reaffirm that the doors of the Organization remain open to everyone facing hardship, whether in the UAE or in countries affected by conflict or difficult circumstances."

He added:

"The true measure of these achievements lies in their direct humanitarian impact. Villages that once struggled with severe water shortages now have access to clean drinking water. Children who were once deprived of education now have the opportunity to attend school. Orphans have been given hope for a brighter future through the generosity of compassionate sponsors, while families have found stability and peace of mind through the grace of Allah and the kindness of donors.

Dr. Khalid Abdulwahab Al Khaja, Secretary General of the International Charity Organization, said:
