The Board of Trustees of the International Charity Organization held its first meeting for 2026, chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, with the attendance of board members, as well as His Excellency Dr. Khalid Abdulwahab Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the organization.
During the meeting, the board reviewed the report of the Ramadan Campaign 2026, which represented a major milestone in the organization’s efforts and the scale of its projects both within the country and abroad. The board also approved a risk management plan related to operations in foreign countries, aimed at enhancing the efficiency of charitable work and ensuring its sustainability in line with international best practices, while protecting resources and achieving the highest levels of compliance and governance.
The board approved the new organizational structure, which is intended to develop the institutional work system of the organization, contributing to improved performance efficiency, enhanced operational flexibility, and supporting the expansion of humanitarian programs and projects. It also approved investment governance regulations to ensure the growth of the organization’s financial resources on sustainable and secure foundations that support the achievement of its strategic objectives.
His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi stated that the approved decisions reflect the organization’s commitment to developing its institutional performance and keeping pace with changes in the humanitarian sector. He noted that the board places great importance on strengthening governance and risk management to ensure the sustainability of charitable initiatives and expand their impact. He added that the next phase will witness increased focus on building an integrated work system that supports innovation and reinforces the organization’s position as a leading institution in humanitarian work at both the local and international levels.
His Excellency also emphasized the importance of investing in institutional capacity building and human resources, which represent a top priority in supporting performance levels and achieving excellence in the implementation of initiatives. He stressed the importance of adopting digital solutions and modern technologies to develop work mechanisms, enhance transparency, and improve responsiveness. He further highlighted the need to embed a culture of innovation in charitable work to ensure the sustainability of resources and maximize humanitarian impact, in line with the UAE’s vision of global leadership in charitable and humanitarian fields.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Khalid Abdulwahab Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the organization, expressed his appreciation to all sectors of the organization and its field teams for their continuous efforts, especially during the Ramadan Campaign 2026, which achieved significant qualitative accomplishments. The total value of implemented projects exceeded 188 million AED, reflecting the trust of donors and supporters in the organization’s programs and the efficiency of their execution. He added that the organization is preparing to launch its Eid al-Adha campaign, which includes a wide range of initiatives aimed at supporting underprivileged families and implementing sustainable development projects in several countries. He affirmed that the organization will continue to expand its scope of work and enhance its humanitarian impact in line with the UAE’s vision for charitable and humanitarian efforts.
