A delegation from the International Charity Organization, led by His Excellency Secretary General Dr. Khalid Abdulwahab Al Khaja, is visiting the Syrian Arab Republic to follow up on and implement a number of developmental, service, and relief projects, to a total value reaching 8 million AED. The visit also includes assessing the needs of several areas affected by the war.
The Organization is focusing on meeting basic needs through initiatives that include building, maintaining, and rehabilitating schools and mosques, drilling wells to provide safe drinking water, sponsoring orphans and underprivileged families, as well as providing healthcare services, and distributing dates and food parcels. These efforts align with the Organization’s mission to achieve sustainable development and improve quality of life.
In a statement, Dr. Khalid Al Khaja said that this visit comes as an extension of the UAE’s approach and the wise leadership’s commitment to supporting humanitarian causes. He emphasized the Organization’s keenness to strengthen its presence on the ground, directing donations and contributions to the right channels to create a direct impact on the lives of beneficiaries. He stressed that these projects are not just financial figures, but rather messages of hope and loyalty that reflect the values of solidarity in supporting brothers and sisters in need.
He added: “The launch of projects worth 8 million AED in vital areas such as water, healthcare, education, and places of worship is an investment in a dignified life for local communities. This comes with the blessed support of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, in addition to contributions from philanthropists and generous donors in the UAE.”
His Excellency confirmed that the Organization is closely following up on the projects on the ground to serve thousands of needy families, noting that several have already begun, especially projects for maintaining wells, mosques, and schools, as well as implementing food aid initiatives in their various forms.
