The International Charity Organization Board of Trustees Reviews First-Half Achievements and Approves Strategic Plans for the Second Half of 2026

The Board of Trustees of the International Charity Organization convened its second meeting of 2026 under the chairmanship of H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Khalid Abdulwahab Al Khaja, Secretary General of the Organization, and members of the Board. The meeting was held at the Organization’s headquarters in the Emirate of Ajman.

The Board reviewed the Organization's strategic plans and programmes for the second half of 2026, alongside comprehensive performance reports on the seasonal humanitarian campaigns implemented during the first half of the year. Members commended the remarkable achievements of the Ramadan Campaign, which embodied the values of social solidarity and humanitarian giving by providing vital assistance to hundreds of thousands of underprivileged individuals and families.

The meeting also reviewed the outcomes of the Eid Al Adha Campaign, with the Board praising the efficient planning and seamless implementation of sacrificial meat distribution programmes, ensuring timely delivery to eligible beneficiaries in accordance with the Organization’s humanitarian objectives and the UAE's enduring values of generosity, compassion and community solidarity.

The Board further examined the achievements of the Health Campaign, which focused on providing medical and treatment assistance to financially disadvantaged patients unable to meet healthcare costs. Members also received an update on the progress of the Summer Campaign, aimed at providing preventive support, essential supplies and protective measures to beneficiaries and workers exposed to extreme summer temperatures across multiple locations.

Opening the meeting, H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi welcomed the attendees and expressed his profound appreciation to the UAE's wise leadership for its unwavering support of humanitarian and charitable initiatives. He affirmed that the vision of the United Arab Emirates continues to serve as a guiding framework for empowering charitable institutions to fulfil their humanitarian mission with efficiency, professionalism and sustainable impact, both domestically and internationally.

He noted that the Organization's achievements during the first half of 2026 reflect its steadfast commitment to serving those in need and embody the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and the vision of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, to promote charitable work as a way of life and to implement projects that preserve human dignity and improve the quality of life for vulnerable communities.

H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi also expressed his sincere appreciation to the Organization’s benefactors and donors, describing them as indispensable partners in the success and continued expansion of the Organization’s humanitarian mission.

He said: "We must continue developing our strategies and humanitarian programmes in line with future aspirations while maintaining a strong focus on maximising humanitarian impact and ensuring the sustainability of projects that address the most pressing needs of vulnerable communities, particularly within the UAE and in countries facing humanitarian challenges."

For his part, H.E. Dr. Khalid Abdulwahab Al Khaja, Secretary General of the International Charity Organization, said the meeting represented an important milestone in evaluating institutional performance and reviewing operational plans in alignment with the Organization’s strategic objectives.

He affirmed that the Organization's seasonal campaigns had achieved outstanding levels of planning and execution, made possible through the grace of Allah, and then the continued generosity of donors, and the dedication of the Organization’s staff and strategic partners.

He added that the Organization remains committed to strengthening strategic partnerships and expanding the adoption of smart digital solutions to facilitate charitable giving and ensure aid reaches beneficiaries with greater efficiency, accuracy and transparency. He noted that the reports presented during the meeting reflected the sustained growth of the Organization’s humanitarian operations and the continued expansion of its development and relief projects across an increasing number of countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Board of Trustees approved a series of recommendations and resolutions aimed at further strengthening the Organization’s governance framework, enhancing administrative and field operations, promoting institutional excellence and transparency, and expanding the reach of its humanitarian and development programmes during the second half of 2026.
