The International Charity Organisation has announced the implementation of 15,000 sacrificial offerings (Qurbani) as part of its blessed Qurbani campaign for the year 2025. The campaign has benefited over 90,000 families of orphans and needy households within the UAE and abroad.
The campaign included various projects such as feeding and providing water to pilgrims, iftar for the fasting, feeding poor villages, Eid clothing, building mosques, digging wells, and constructing Quran memorization centers, among other charitable projects.
In a statement, His Excellency Dr. Khalid Abdul Wahab Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the International Charity Organisation, said: "We annually ensure that the Qurbani campaign is a source of goodness and happiness for the poor and needy. We are proud that our efforts this year reached 20 countries, targeting remote areas and marginalized communities suffering from harsh conditions. The distribution of 15,000 sacrificial offerings reflects the donors' trust in the organisation and embodies the spirit of giving. We will continue, with Allah's permission, to develop these campaigns to include sustainable projects that leave a lasting impact on the lives of beneficiaries."
His Excellency emphasized that the organisation continues its work throughout the year in implementing humanitarian, health, educational, and developmental projects. It also works to strengthen partnerships and expand its areas of work to reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries worldwide, as part of its mission to serve humanity wherever it is and to solidify the UAE's position as a global capital of goodness and giving.
