425 Million Dirhams Value of the International Charity Organization's Projects in 2024

The International Charity Organization announced that it will implement charitable and humanitarian projects worth 425 million dirhams in 2024, including nearly 150 million dirhams within the United Arab Emirates. This is part of its efforts to support those in need in 23 countries around the world, benefiting over 4 million people, thereby improving their lives and meeting their basic needs.

On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Khaled Al-Khaja, Secretary-General of the Organization, said: "The year 2024 has witnessed the power of giving and human solidarity, as we were able, by Allah's grace and with the guidance of our wise leadership, along with the support of charitable individuals, to implement high-quality projects that brought real change to the lives of millions. Through digging wells and providing potable water, we helped save lives in areas suffering from water scarcity.

By building houses of worship, we brought life back to villages that lacked mosques. Through the construction of schools, we provided a safe educational environment for children deprived of education. The organization also provided comprehensive medical support to those in need, including providing medicines, equipping hospitals, and performing surgeries for patients who could not afford them. The Organization is also caring for more than 60,000 orphans, offering them comprehensive support in terms of accommodation, education, healthcare, and many other charitable projects."

He emphasized that through its branches and offices, as well as its collaboration with local and international partners, the Organization has been able to adopt innovative strategies to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of aid to those who deserve it. He pointed out that charitable work has not been limited to immediate relief, but also included long-term development projects, such as those for productive families and employing unemployed youth. He also revealed that the path to achieving these accomplishments was not easy.

The teams of the International Charity Organization faced significant challenges, the most prominent of which were harsh weather conditions and the difficulty of reaching some remote areas. Nevertheless, these challenges did not deter the determination of the Organization's workers and volunteers, who continued their work despite the extreme cold in winter and scorching heat in summer, enduring hardships to reach the most needy communities.

He extended a message of thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to supporting the organization’s projects, whether individuals or institutions, saying: "We thank every hand that extended with goodness, every heart that carried compassion, and every person who was the cause of healing hearts and supporting the weak. Giving is the noblest of human values, and we will continue on our journey year after year, with the support of our leadership and with your generous contributions, dear benefactors."
