The ICO fun raises more than 15 million for the Al-Adha Campaign

 

The International Charitable Organization (ICO) has announced the conclusion of the Al-Adha Campaign 2022, and the achievement of all the objectives required for the various charitable initiatives and projects launched, with a total value of 15 million and 300 thousand dirhams.

The total sum provided and raised by the ICO for the sacrificial projects inside and outside the state amounted to 3 million and 434 thousand dirhams. For construction, maintenance and furnishing of mosques, 2 million and 770 thousand dirhams. For water supplies and well digging, 2 million and 467 thousand dirhams. For Hajj Badal, also known as Proxy Hajj (performing Hajj on behalf of someone who is unable to perform Hajj themselves), 2 million and 400 thousand dirhams. For relieving the anguish of debtors, one million dirhams. For sponsoring orphans, one million dirhams. For food supplies, 972 thousand dirhams. For distributing copies of the Qur’an, 372,000 dirhams. For Eid clothing, 145 thousand dirhams. Nearly 740 thousand dirhams provided and raised for other projects.

 

On this occasion, H.E. Dr. Khaled Abdul-Wahab Al Khaja, ICO's Secretary-General, thanked benefactors for their generous giving and support to the ICO in its humanitarian campaign and initiatives inside and outside the state. He also conveyed to them the thanks of the needy and poor who benefited from the Al-Adha Campaign 2022, stressing that these great deeds are part of the culture of the UAE people who grew up under the umbrella of the Zayed Al-Khair institution, supporting the needy and assisting the helpless debtors. He asked Allah Almighty to bless them, bestow His grace upon them and accept their good deeds.

 

The number of sacrifices inside the state reached 3,200, distributed to more than 6,000 families. The number of sacrifices outside the country reached 5,800, distributed to 14,000 families. 72 debtors benefited from the initiative aimed to relieve the anguish of debtors inside and outside the state. 2,300 people benefited from the Eid clothing project.

 

More than 13,000 meals were distributed to the fasting pilgrims on the Day of Arafat inside and outside the state. Nearly 4250 families benefited from the feeding project. More than 18,000 pilgrims benefited from the initiative aimed at feeding and watering pilgrims. 800 people benefited from the Hajj Badal project benefited.
