ICO distributes 6-million-dirham zakat to those in need

The International Charitable Organization (ICO) has distributed the allocations for the zakat project during the holy month of Ramadan to citizens and residents, amounting to 6 million dirhams.

 

H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Nuaimi, ICO's Chairman of the Board of Trustees, said: "The ICO continues to carry out its Ramadan campaign projects "Of Which You Love", the most important of which is the zakat project, which boosts the values of compassion and social solidarity, and cements the principle of providing aid and assistance to the needy and the beneficiary." He voiced his thanks and appreciation to benefactors in the UAE, and to the institutions that contributed to the success of the initiatives during the holy month.

It is noteworthy that since the beginning of the month of Ramadan, the ICO has been carrying out dozens of projects inside and outside the state, including: Ramadan rations, breaking the fast, break the fast of Muslim villages, Eid clothing, in addition to building and restoring mosques and wells, supplying food, among others.
