Charity Org. provides foodstuffs worth more than AED 5 million and 700 thousand

The Charity Org. has spent more than 5 million and 700 thousand dirhams on the initiative to provide basic foodstuffs to more than 5 thousand families of citizens and residents who are disadvantaged in order to establish the values ​​of giving and goodness and to continue its various humanitarian initiatives, which come within the directions of the wise leadership in extending a helping hand and consolidating the bonds of giving in society, in light of the current circumstances the world is going through and in support of the national initiative (#Stay home).

From his part, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al-Nuaimi, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Charity Org., said that the basic foodstuffs initiative for the needy families launched by the Org. aims to provide aid and assistance to families with low income to meet the requirements of life and alleviates the financial liabilities that burden families within the current circumstances by allocating cash sums to be distributed to needy families within the State, including citizens and residents, to provide basic foodstuffs.

While His Excellency Dr. Khaled Abdulwahab Al Khaja, the Executive Director of the Charity Org., affirmed that the Org. is working continuously to contribute to charitable projects and activities that serve the most needy groups of society, through implementing aid programs and supporting charitable and humanitarian initiatives and projects, especially in light of the calls made by the competent authorities in the State, which is primarily aimed to the commitment to home, which reflects the extent of our rational leadership's concern for the general health of society. Therefore, meeting these calls is a pure national duty. We need to take these initiatives to protect the needy families from the risk of spreading new Corona virus, which has affected many countries of the world.
