His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International Charity Organization, presented a cheque of 2 million AED in support of the 'Step of Hope' Prosthetic Limb Programme, implemented in partnership with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. The programme aims to provide, manufacture, and fit prosthetic limbs, in addition to delivering rehabilitation services for injured Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi affirmed that this contribution reflects the UAE's longstanding humanitarian commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and demonstrates the Organization's dedication to backing high-impact humanitarian initiatives that help alleviate the suffering of those injured while addressing their medical and rehabilitation needs.
He said: "The 'Step of Hope' Programme, implemented in partnership with Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, represents a model of the UAE's humanitarian approach, founded on a rapid and effective response to the needs of those affected. It also reflects the directives of our wise leadership to extend support to our Palestinian brothers and sisters, particularly those who have lost limbs as a result of the events in the Gaza Strip."
For his part, H.E. Dr. Khaled Abdulwahab Al Khaja, Secretary General of the International Charity Organization, explained that the programme aims to restore hope to amputees through a comprehensive system of care that includes the provision of prosthetic limbs, rehabilitation services, physiotherapy, and ongoing medical follow-up. These services are designed to improve beneficiaries' quality of life and enable them to regain their independence and resume their daily activities.
He added: "We extend our sincere appreciation to Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 for its pioneering humanitarian efforts. We also reaffirm the International Charity Organization's commitment to continuing its support for the 'Step of Hope' Programme and expanding its reach during the coming phases, ensuring that its services benefit as many people as possible while strengthening the sustainable humanitarian impact that the United Arab Emirates strives to achieve in support of the Palestinian people."
