International Charity Organization Secures the Release of 25 Inmates Ahead of Ramadan

The International Charity Organization announced the release of 25 inmates from correctional and penal institutions ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, as part of its humanitarian initiatives aimed at reuniting families and bringing joy to their hearts before the blessed month.

This initiative comes as an extension of the Organization’s approach in implementing 'Relief of Distress' projects within the United Arab Emirates, which aim to support individuals facing financial hardship, particularly those who have received court rulings in financial cases in coordination with the relevant authorities.

His Excellency Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, Secretary-General of the International Charity Organization, stated that this step reflects the Organization's commitment to strengthening the values of social solidarity and reinforcing the spirit of compassion and mercy embodied by UAE society, especially during religious occasions when feelings of unity and generosity are heightened.

He added: “This is the first phase, to be followed by additional phases targeting dozens of inmates. The Organization is keen to enable those released to spend the holy month with their families and children and to begin a new chapter in their lives marked by hope and stability.”

He explained that the Organization places special emphasis on initiatives that support family stability, considering it the fundamental pillar in building a cohesive society. He noted that the 'Relief of Distress' projects will continue throughout the year, based on careful case assessments and in coordination with strategic partners.
