Hamid Al-Nuaimi directs to provide winter assistance to needy families and attends orphans' party in Jordan

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, directed to provide winter assistance to needy families in the Kingdom of Jordan in order to alleviate their suffering during the winter season.

   His Highness stressed that the United Arab Emirates, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE President, took great care to stand by the brothers to reduce their suffering and that it is our duty towards our brothers in Jordan to extend a helping hand to them and provide humanitarian assistance to the needy families to overcome the difficulties of the life they face.

 This came during the attendance of His Highness the annual honoring ceremony for orphans, which is held in honor of his current visit to the Kingdom of Jordan and his briefing on charitable and humanitarian projects carried out by the INT. HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION in Jordan.

  During the ceremony, His Highness and attendees were briefed on the most important achievements of the Charity Office for the year 2018 in Jordan, which included various social, production, health and relief projects such as sponsoring orphans, as the number of the sponsored reached 8,268 orphans, in addition to other sponsorships, and the total budget disbursed amounted to nearly 4 million & eight hundred two thousand dollars. As for the projects of productive families which provide them with good and interest-free loans for orphans’ mothers and their guardians to establish productive projects that generate additional income for them, reached 91 productive projects until the end of last year in various fields amounted to 86 thousand and 940 dollar. The number of programs and other projects reached 53 last year in the social, health and educational fields, including sewing, food processing, charitable loaf and others, as the value of those projects amounted to one million and 362 thousand dollars.  

  His Highness also listened to a number of success stories of some productive families, the progress of work, conditions of the needy and orphans, and the role of the Organization in providing aid and necessary needs to needy families. 

 His Highness met with a group of sponsored orphans by the Organization and a number of orphan mothers benefiting from small loan projects and a number of students who are studying on the sponsorship of his highness, in continuation of his approach to inspect the conditions of needy families and orphans sponsored in Jordan and check on their conditions annually.

  Statistics indicate that His Highness’s directives on providing assistance to the needy in Jordan through charitable and humanitarian projects in the last year amounted to more than 23 million dirhams, of which about 21 thousand families from needy families and orphans have benefited from it, the majority of which focused on winter and relief projects, productive families and sponsorship and care of orphans.

  His Highness instructed the INT. HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION to redouble efforts during the winter season to implement winter projects in order to alleviate the suffering of needy families during the cold weather in all cities of Jordan by providing blankets, winter clothing, heaters and heating fuel. 

 His Highness praised the role played by the INT. HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION in its main center in Ajman and through its office in the Jordanian capital, Amman, such as humanitarian and charitable initiatives and providing assistance to needy families. 

  The ceremony was attended by His Highness Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Tourism Development, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Port and Customs Department, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the INT. HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION, Ahmed Ali Muhammad Al Balooshi, UAE Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Hamad Bin Ghulaita Al Ghafli, Private Secretary to His Highness the Ruler of Ajman, Tariq Bin Ghulaita Al-Ghafli, Director of the Ruler's Office, and a number of senior officials.

 From his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Organization, said that directives of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman will be implemented immediately to provide winter assistance to needy families and refugees, including winter clothing, blankets, appliances and heating materials to alleviate their suffering and help them in light of the cold weather conditions that Jordan is experiencing in the winter through cooperation and coordination between the Office of the Charitable Organization in Jordan and the Jordanian Ministry of Social Development.
